Customs and Import Charges Policy

1. International Orders and Import Charges

International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, handling fees, carrier collection fees, or other charges imposed by customs authorities, government agencies, carriers, postal services, or brokerage providers in the destination country.

These charges are not controlled by KRNglasses.com and may vary depending on the destination country, product type, product value, shipping method, carrier, and local import rules.

2. Delivered at Place (DAP)

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, international orders are shipped under Delivered at Place (DAP) terms.

Under DAP terms, KRNglasses.com is responsible for arranging shipment of the order to the delivery destination selected at checkout. The customer is responsible for any import customs clearance, duties, taxes, brokerage fees, carrier collection fees, or other import-related charges required by the destination country.

3. Customer Responsibilities

By placing an international order, you agree that you are responsible for:

  • Complying with the import rules and regulations of your destination country.
  • Providing accurate shipping and contact information at checkout.
  • Paying any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, carrier fees, or other import-related charges required by your destination country.
  • Responding to carrier or customs requests if additional information is needed to complete delivery.

4. Charges Not Collected by KRNglasses.com

Unless duties, taxes, or import charges are clearly shown and collected at checkout, they are not included in the product price or shipping charge paid to KRNglasses.com.

We aim to provide clear cost information before payment. However, customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, carrier collection fees, or similar charges may be assessed by the destination country after the order has shipped.

If these charges are required by your destination country, they may be collected directly from you by the carrier, customs authority, postal service, brokerage provider, or another authorized party before or at the time of delivery.

5. Refused Shipments and Unpaid Import Charges

If you refuse delivery, fail to pay required import charges, or do not provide information requested by customs or the carrier, the shipment may be delayed, returned to sender, abandoned, or destroyed according to the carrier’s and customs authority’s rules.

If a refused or undeliverable shipment is returned to KRNglasses.com, any refund will be processed after the returned item is received and inspected.

Original shipping charges, return shipping charges, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, carrier fees, handling fees, or other costs incurred by KRNglasses.com because of the refused or undeliverable shipment will be deducted from any refund where permitted by law.

If the shipment is abandoned, destroyed, or not returned to us, we may be unable to issue a refund.

6. Delivery Delays Caused by Customs

Customs inspections, import processing, payment requests, local postal procedures, carrier handling, or local delivery procedures may delay delivery. These delays are outside the control of KRNglasses.com.

We will make reasonable efforts to assist customers when possible, but we cannot guarantee customs clearance times or delivery dates affected by customs processing.

7. Checking Local Import Rules

We recommend reviewing your local customs and import rules before placing an international order, especially if your country applies duties, taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees, or carrier collection fees to imported eyewear, sunglasses, accessories, or apparel.
